Draft: this page hasn't been signed off yet.It describes the app as it is now, while it's being built and tested. It will be checked, and this notice taken off, before Luna Chart goes on sale.
Terms of use
Last updated: 1 November 2026. These terms are for Louxi's Luna Chart, Louxi's Luna Chart Cloud and the website. They're written to be read. If anything here is unclear, email nikku.rupert@gmail.com.
The short version
- It's a record keeper, not a doctor. Luna Chart helps you keep track of your periods and cycle, and makes a report to take to your doctor. It isn't a medical device, and doesn't diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition.
- Predictions are estimates. The next period and the estimated ovulation are ranges worked out from what you've logged. Bodies vary, and they can be wrong.
- It isn't contraception. Never use its estimates to avoid or plan a pregnancy.
- Your chart is yours. It's kept on your device, encrypted. If you use the Cloud app's backup or sharing, they're locked on your device before they're sent, and we can't read them.
- Keep your keep-this-safe card safe. Without it, nobody can get an online backup back, not even us.
- Online backup in the Cloud app may be paid for. It's free while it's being tested. Bringing a backup back, deleting it, and seeing a chart someone shares with you are always free.
Using the app
You can use Louxi's Luna Chart to keep your own records. It's for adults (18+). Please don't try to break, overload or misuse the server, or use the app to get at anyone else's data.
Health information
- Not medical advice. What the app says about cycles and periods comes from published health sources, listed on each page of the Grimoire, and is checked against them. It's general information, not advice for you. For medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, see a doctor or another qualified health professional.
- "Worth a look" notes point out patterns in what you've logged that health sources say are worth talking to a doctor about. They're not a diagnosis, and not having one doesn't mean all is well. If you're worried about your health, see a doctor, whatever the app says.
- In an emergency, call 000 in Australia (or your local emergency number), or go to a hospital emergency department.
- Not contraception. The estimated ovulation range is only an estimate, and isn't shown at all on methods of contraception where it wouldn't be true. Don't rely on it to avoid or plan a pregnancy.
Sharing with a partner
- You choose who sees what, share by share, and you can change it or stop it at any time.
- Anyone with a share's QR code can see what it shows until you stop it. Only show it to the person it's for. Sharing contraception and medicines is off unless you turn it on.
- Seeing someone's chart shows only what they chose to share, read only. Please respect their privacy: don't show it to others or copy it elsewhere.
The Cloud app's online backup
- It's optional. The app works fully without it.
- Only you can unlock it. It's locked on your device with a passphrase only you know, before it leaves the device. We can't read it.
- There's no recovery, on purpose. If you lose your device and forget your passphrase or the other details on your card, your backup can't be brought back by anyone. If you still have your device, you can set a new passphrase from it at any time.
- Deleting: DELETE ONLINE in the app, or DELETE A BACKUP on the website, deletes your backup for good, straight away.
- We keep backups for as long as the service runs, however long you're away. If the service ever has to stop, we'll say so in the apps and on the website well beforehand. Your data on your devices is never affected.
Paying
Louxi's Luna Chart and the website are free. Online backup in the Cloud app is free while it's being tested. When paying for online backup is switched on (the same as every Rupert, Nikku and Louxi Cloud app):
- The first month is free. It starts with your first backup, and no card is needed.
- After that it's US$1 a month, or US$6 a year, or the equivalent your app store shows in your currency. The price is shown in the app and in your app store before you pay anything.
- You pay through your device's app store. The store takes the payment, and its own terms apply to it. We never see your payment details.
- Subscriptions renew by themselves until you cancel. You can cancel any time in your store's subscriptions page. You keep backing up until the end of the time you've paid for.
- Refunds are handled by the store you paid through, under its refund rules, and under your consumer rights.
- One subscription covers you on every device you back up from.
- If a subscription ends, your data stays safe on your devices and nothing is deleted. Your online backup just stops being updated, and starts again by itself if you subscribe again.
- Sharing with a partner, bringing a backup back, deleting it, and seeing a shared chart are always free.
Changes to the app
We'll keep improving the app. We won't make fundamental changes under you, like how your data is locked, without saying so clearly in the app first. If these terms change, this page will be updated first, with a new date at the top.
The legal bits
- The app is provided as it is. We work hard to make it accurate and reliable, and to keep your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, or that its estimates, notes or reminders will always be right.
- Your rights as a consumer come first. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or the consumer laws where you live, that can't be taken away. As far as those laws allow, we aren't responsible for indirect losses.
- Who we are: Louxi's Luna Chart is made and run by Lish.Tech, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. "We" and "us" in these terms means Lish.Tech.
- Louxi, the app's pictures and words belong to Lish.Tech. The health facts come from the sources named in the app. Please don't copy the app's pictures and words into other apps or products.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
